Join us for JTALK!, the first NihonmachiROOTS language & cultural exchange event in Japantown. We hope JTALK! will give non-Japanese speakers the chance to practice their nihongo and exchange culture with a native Japanese person.
Details
- JTALK! will have five native Japanese speakers to informally teach Japanese and share Japanese culture
- Students will be organized into small groups (2-3 per teacher) according to their level in Japanese.
- JTALK! will be divided into two parts:
- The first 30 minutes or so will focus on a grammar theme: How to properly introduce yourself and/or someone else
- The remainder of the time will be devoted to free conversation
- Please feel free to bring any pictures of yourself e.g. family, interests/hobbies, hometown map, pets, etc. that will help facilitate conversation topics and add more information cultural exchange
